Of one of the villas of that time it is told that it burned down in the night after a lightning strike. The next day the charred headless corpse of a young man was found among the ruins — but the inhabitants of that villa had disappeared, an elderly gentleman with a young wife, of whom even before that the neighbours had not known who they might be. It was said that the old man had cut off that man's head and cursed his unfaithful wife — and that ever since she used to wander there on stormy nights.
