Saint Wenceslas's Halting Place

Husitská

Historically
Horská silnice, hlavní ulice žižkovská

This street was formerly called the Mountain Road, because it leads to Kutná Hora. Somewhere beside it there is said to have been a mound or heap of stones, the so-called halting place or resting place of Saint Wenceslas — for they are said to have halted here when bringing the saint's body from Stará Boleslav to Prague. A similar thing is told at Libeň.
