The Second New Town That Never Came to Be

He said to his courtiers: “If it be the will of the Lord my God, I mean to run a wall from Hradčany to Ovenec and end it at the Vltava itself, and to found a second New Town here — from Hradčany to Ovenec, from Ovenec to Holešovice, from Holešovice to Bubny, and from Bubny across Letná, and to fill it all with people and inhabitants.” He gave up the idea, however, moved, it is said, by an evil prophecy from the eminent physician and first teacher of astronomy in Prague, Master Havel.
