The Freemason Betrayed by His Mistress

At the beginning of the nineteenth century freemasons are said to have met here, and among them came a wealthy burgher from Nerudova Street. He was betrayed, however, by a jealous mistress, seized and put to death on Charles Square, where the church of Corpus Christi once stood.
