The Boulder on the Bishop's Bed
Malá Chuchle
Under the year 1135 it is related that Menhart, Bishop of Prague, spent the night here at Chuchle. He had servants with him and was already lying down on his bed when they all heard a great crash. The servants took fright and fled from the room, and the bishop sprang into the corner by the wall beside the chimney. At that moment a great boulder broke loose from the hill above the building, smashed through two walls and came to rest on the very bed from which the bishop had leapt.
