Opposite house number 89-11 in Platnéřská Street there once stood the church of Saint Martin the Lesser, called in 1448 the chapel of Saint Eulogius and in the sixteenth century that of Saint Eligius. Until the chapel was abolished in 1783, the goldsmiths of Prague always held their feast there on the Sunday after Saint Eligius's day, and displayed the treasures of their guild. Among them were the bishop's cap of Saint Eligius, given to the goldsmiths by Charles IV in 1378, and a chalice said to have been made by the saint himself. The goldsmiths revived the feast in 1879 in the church of Saint Clement, and afterwards at Saint Saviour's.
