Content warning: violence, execution
In the cemetery one can see the gravestone of David Gans, whom the Bohemians called Hus. That learned rabbi and excellent astronomer was in contact with Kepler and Tycho Brahe and also wrote a geographical and historical work, Zemach David, which was translated into German and Latin. They also show here the gravestone of Aaron Meshullam Horowitz, who built the Pinkas Synagogue, the gravestone of the rabbi and poet Avigdor Kara, son of Isaac, who described the cruel massacre of the Jews in Prague in 1389, and the grave of Israel Horowitz, burned at the stake in 1557.
