Gardens That Floated in the Air

In the legends of the people Vyšehrad is bound most closely to Libuše. Her magical gardens were here, floating in the air; and below the rock, where the Vltava is deepest, was Libuše's favourite bathing place. Here, it is said, Libuše once stood on the threshold of her bath watching the currents of the water — and prophesied from them the misfortune that was to come upon the land of Bohemia.
