Two Paler Patches on the Rock
Vyšehrad
Svátek tells one more legend: goats used to be pastured on the Vyšehrad rock above Podolí. A poor woman once sent both her little daughters there to herd them and told them to watch the goats well; but the girls preferred to play, and the goats fell into the water. In her anger the mother cursed them — and they turned to stone. To this day, it is said, two paler patches can be seen on the rock, shaped like human figures.
